BUSINESS VISITOR

A business visitor enters Canada for international business activities and does not directly enter the Canadian workforce. A business visitor stays in Canada for a few days or few weeks and can stay up to 6 months.

Their main source of income and main place of business are outside of Canada. They do not need a work permit to visit Canada. A business visitor will need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA), depending on their country and visa requirements.

  • Training employees of a Canadian branch of a foreign company

  • Receiving training by a Canadian company that you bought equipment or services from
  • Trained by a Canadian parent company that you work for outside of Canada

Eligibility as Eligibility as Business Visitor :

  • Plan to stay for less than 6 months in Canada
  • Main source of income and place of business is outside of Canada
  • Will not enter Canada workforce
  • Have supporting documents for your application
  • Have a valid passport
  • Letter of support from parent company
  • Letter of invitation from Canadian host business
  • Have enough money for your stay and return home
  • Plan to leave Canada at the end of your stay
  • Not criminal, security or health risk to Canada
