This is an online system used to manage applications for skilled workers. It could be from Federal programs or the Provincial Nominee programs (PNP).
There are 3 main Federal immigration programs under the express entry:
An applicant must meet the minimum eligibility requirements for each of these programs to qualify.
They may also apply for the Provincial Nominee program (PNP) concurrently. If nominated by the province, they will receive extra points.
The applicant creates a profile which is valid for 12 months and there is no fee for creating a profile. If the candidate meets the minimum requirements for any of the programs, they will be put in the express entry pool and they will receive a score using the Comprehensive Ranking system (CRS). If they have a job offer or provincial nomination, their raking is higher or increases. Where the candidate exceeds the Comprehensive ranking score (CRS) cut-off, they will be issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency. This document does not guarantee permanent residency. A fee is paid for the ITA and the candidate must submit their permanent resident application within 60days under the program indicated.
