What are RCIC, RCIC-IRB and an Immigration Agent?

RCIC
An RCIC or Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant is a certified professional authorized by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), to provide immigration advice and services. They are knowledgeable to guide and provide their clients with customized immigration solutions. It is highly advantageous to work with a licensed RCIC consultant as they reduce the likelihood of errors and adhere to best immigration practices.

RCIC-IRB
This is an RCIC, with additional authority to represent clients in more areas of immigration including hearings in the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) of Canada.

Immigration Agent
This is not an RCIC. They assist RCIC’s to find clients in their locations pass on information and cannot render legal advice.

How long can I stay in Canada as a visitor?

At the port of entry, the border services may stamp your passport or tell you how long you’re permitted to stay in Canada. If your passport is not stamped, you can stay up to 6 months from the date of entry or until your passport expires depending on the one that comes first. The officer may also limit or extend your stay in Canada. They may also give you a visitor record which shows the date that you need to depart from Canada.

How long is the processing time for immigration?

Processing time for applications varies based on the type of application, the number of applications received by IRCC, the country applying from, where the application is made from and backlogs. An application may also be delayed or returned if incomplete. It is advisable to start early to avoid any delays in processing.

Do you accept clients from all over the world or provinces? Are you accepting new clients?

We accept clients from all over the world and across Canadian provinces and territories except for Quebec.
We are presently accepting new cases while ensuring that our delivery standard is maintained. IRCC may however experience delays in their processing times as such we advise that the process should start at the earliest convenient time.

Are your fees in Canadian Dollars or US Dollars?

Our fees are for professional fees only. Based on your location we charge either CAD or USD. Canadian clients are charged CAD plus applicable HST. International or Non-Canadian clients are charged USD.
Government fees are not included in our fees. These payments are made directly to the government or third party and their amounts vary.

What is Express entry?

Express Entry is a system used to manage applications for Federal permanent residency programs such as Federal Skilled Worker program, Federal Skilled trades and Canadian Experience class. Provinces also use the Express Entry through Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

What are the important factors for Federal Skilled worker ?

The applicant must score a minimum of 67 out of 100 points. The other factors are language, education, work experience, age, arranged Employment and adaptability.
