Open Work Permit: This allows you to work for any employer in Canada and is not job specific. These are available based on specific conditions.
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP): After graduation, international students that studied in a designated learning institution (DLI), are eligible for a PGWP, which enables them to work temporarily in Canada.
International Mobility Program Work Permit: These permits are LMIA (Labour market Impact Assessment) exempt but require a work permit. These could be based on the Canadian interests, whereby Canadians have similar reciprocal opportunities overseas. It could also be based on or the international free trade agreement provisions which facilitates on a reciprocal basis temporary entry for business persons to work in Canada. The eligibility for an LMIA exempt work is based on the type of work or the activity to carry out in Canada and their country of citizenship.
